Home pageNewsOomi Solar’s strong growth in 2024 laid a solid foundation for the future

Oomi Solar, a leading provider of solar energy solutions, performed well in 2024. The value of the company’s business more than doubled, and its position as a builder and developer of industrial-scale solar power and energy solutions for properties grew stronger. Growth is expected to remain strong in 2025 in this rapidly developing market.

Oomi Solar specialises in large-scale and industrial-scale solar power and property energy solutions, and acts as an EPC contractor. With more than 10 years of experience, Oomi Solar has quickly become one of the leading solar energy companies in Finland.

During its first year of operation in 2024, Oomi Solar more than doubled the value of its business compared to the previous year, prior to its incorporation from Oomi Oy. In 2024, the company’s revenue was EUR 20.6 million, with an operating profit margin of 4.6% and an equity ratio at a remarkable 91.4%. The number of staff increased to 16.

“Our growth strategy yielded results right from the first year. Oomi Solar has quickly grown into a leading operator in solar farm construction and project development. Our team grew and our expertise developed significantly. Our goal is to grow with the market and also offer our customers new competitive solutions, such as electrical energy storage systems,” says Olli Tuomivaara, CEO of Oomi Solar.

Increased focus on supply chain responsibility

The most significant risks in the solar power sector include electricity price trends, the price level of technology and services and the competitiveness of alternative forms of energy. Over 90% of solar panels are produced in China, so any changes in trade relations between China and the EU could affect the availability of solar panels. Oomi Solar closely monitors changes in the market situation and develops its solutions accordingly.

“There are global challenges associated with the responsibility of solar panel production and materials, to which the industry as a whole must pay increasing attention. Responsibility is important to us, which is why we pay very close attention to ethical and responsible practices in our production and supply chains,” says Tuomivaara.

Oomi Solar develops and monitors its subcontracting chain through regular third-party audits and ESG audits.

Increased solar power boosts business growth

Oomi Solar expects its revenue and business value to continue growing in 2025. The market is expected to develop positively, particularly in the construction phase of large solar farms and in the growing demand for property-specific energy solutions.

Solar power is one of the most profitable solutions for reducing emissions. The market is growing rapidly; according to Fingrid, thousands of megawatts of new solar power will be built in Finland by 2030. Oomi Solar enables its customers to make a profitable transition to cleaner energy.
