Electric vehicle charging
With years of experience, we implement electric vehicle charging solutions for businesses and housing companies.

Oomi Solar Charging
Oomi Solar can install electric vehicle charging stations for your business or housing company anywhere in Finland. Our offering covers everything from charging infrastructure design and construction to charging equipment and services. All our solutions include a smart charging service that enables automatic billing and load management. Our system is easy to scale up in the future.
The charging systems can be used in conjunction with a battery storage system, which allows for the installation of a larger system without increasing the size of the property’s grid connection. Battery storage can also help reduce the cost of electricity used for charging.
Oomi Solar is a reliable partner owned by large, financially sound, publicly-owned energy companies.

Charging solutions

High-power charging
High-power chargers are used to charge electric commercial vehicles, such as electric delivery trucks and forklifts, as well as to fast-charge passenger cars. Typical installation sites for high-power chargers include distribution terminals, ports, industrial facilities, shopping centres and service stations. We provide solutions for charging stations with a capacity of up to 1,200 kW.

For businesses
Our charging solutions for businesses are ideal for charging the cars of your employees, visitors and customers. The use of the chargers can be restricted to staff or made available to everyone. We can provide businesses with charging infrastructure consisting of 11–22 kW chargers and high-power chargers.

For housing companies
In housing companies, we install charging infrastructure for every parking space, giving each resident an equal opportunity to obtain a charging station for their parking space. The chargers we supply to housing companies typically have a power output of 11–22 kW. The chargers support a charging service that enables automatic billing.
Procurement models

Turnkey solutions
With turnkey delivery, the customer receives a charging solution for their property at a fixed price. The price includes all costs for the delivery of the charging infrastructure. Oomi Solar is responsible for the entire delivery process, from initial assessment to commissioning.

Charging as a Service (CaaS)
In addition to direct investment, we offer Charging as a Service, where the customer acquires the charging system for a fixed monthly fee. The CaaS model is suitable for larger charging solutions for both businesses and housing companies.

The charging speed of an electric car depends on the power of the charger and the car’s capacity to draw power. With a typical charging power of 3.7–11 kW, plug-in hybrids charge in 1–4 hours and fully electric cars in 1–7 hours. With a fast charger, fully electric cars and delivery vans can be charged in 1–3 hours.
The appropriate charging power should be based on the length of time spent at the location. For example, at home and at work, we often stay in one place for long periods of time, making a 3.7–11 kW charger more than adequate. In leisure facilities and for guest use, 11–22 kW is adequate to charge a reasonable amount of electricity during a visit of a few hours. In public places and logistics terminals, the best option is often a 50–150 kW fast charger, which provides a significant amount of electricity in less than an hour. It is also good to remember that the charging speed also depends on the vehicle, so the charger alone does not guarantee the charging power mentioned above.
The cost of charging may be determined in different ways depending on the owner and operator of the charging station. At the charging stations we provide, the cost of charging is determined by the owner of the charging station, such as a hotel, business or housing company.
You should consider the appropriate charging power for the location and arrange for a corresponding power supply. A load management system is beneficial in most cases. Mounting the chargers on a wall is the most cost-effective option, if possible. It is also worth considering potential future needs and, for example, making arrangements for future charging stations in advance.
Both SESKO and Tukes recommend that any regular charging of electric cars should be done with a charger designed specifically for electric vehicles. Charging an electric car from a household socket should only be done on a temporary basis, and even then, you must ensure that the electrical installations and components are in good working order.
A regular charging station is a piece of equipment used for the basic charging of electric vehicles at home or at work, for example. These chargers charge the vehicle with alternating current (AC) and typically have a power output of 3.7–22 kW.
A fast charging station is a piece of equipment used for the fast charging of electric vehicles at service stations or logistics terminals, for example. These chargers charge the vehicle with direct current (DC) and typically have a power output of 50–350 kW.
Oomi offers turnkey delivery, including planning, charging infrastructure construction, charging stations, charging services and maintenance. We serve businesses and housing companies.
Of course! 😊 The charging solution is not dependent on your electricity contract.
